Hi Parents-
Hope everyone had a restful weekend, and enjoyed that extra hour of sleep!!
What a week! It was full one, and I expect that you had some tired kindergarteners!
Bentley was our Star Student, and we loved learning more about him! Nicolas is up next on the 14th. We also enjoyed celebrating Mateo's and Ali's birthday, which were both on the 29th.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures I sent on Friday! I had a few issues trying to upload the Field Trip/Field Day pictures to my Google Drive to share this weekend, so I decided to make them an iMovie like I do with the class photographer pictures. (I attached them to my weekly email). Thanks for your patience!
Seesaw:
Each student was provided with a parent login for Seesaw (an online portfolio) in the Tuesday folders this week. This week we will learn how to upload projects to the individual portfolios so that you can see the great things we are doing in class! I'm really excited to use this tool as an additional means to keep each of you as informed and involved as possible as to what we are doing at school. I am learning it as well, so this will be a new adventure for all of us!
Service Project
The kindergarten team decided we would like to do service projects with our classes this year as a way to teach about giving back to the community. I had a few thoughts, but wanted to reach out and see if any of you had something that you would like to suggest..either something near and dear to your family, or something that you think would be meaningful for our class. Thanks in advance for the input! (Examples: make a donation box for a local organization, holiday cards for the assisted living center, etc.)
Report Cards:
Please sign the envelopes, but keep the contents. Please return the envelopes in the signed Tuesday folder.
Reminders:
- We will not have library this week due to the book fair.
- RED Reading folders come home every Tuesday and Thursday.
- Please have your child bring an ad (can be an online print out) for a toy by Tuesday for our Media Literacy unit this week.
Upcoming Dates:
November 8: Picture retakes
November 8-11: Book Fair in the library
November 21-25: Thanksgiving Holiday
December 1: Kindergarten Holiday Performance @ 6:00
Thanks again for your partnership and support at home! Looking forward to another great week with your kiddos!
